Autumn in Lake Wanaka, New Zealand

As I write this our fisherman and guide from Southern Rivers Fly Fishing have left for the day with a threat of rain a possibility later in the day. We have had some beautiful days with clear blue skies but autumn is definitely here in the mornings. The autumn colours are amazing as always and for those here for Warbirds during Easter weekend the scenery did not disappoint.

A view of the nearby Clutha River. This photo was made from one of two new
walkways near the Lodge [which makes it possible to now walk/bike from
Lake Hawea, to Albert Town and down to the old Red Bridge at Luggate].

We have another 4WD group in this week leaving from Glenthorne Station
in Canterbury. We look forward to having them as these groups are always good fun.

As well we have had guests attending a wedding at Lookout Lodge staying with us.

They then flew to the reception at nearby Lookout Lodge

With Treble Cone Ski field and Cardrona Ski field now offering winter ski passes we are receiving regular emails for our winter bookings. Check out our packages on the skiing page.

Chase is still here and his latest trick is to jump up and help himself to apples on the apple trees!! A varied diet you could say!
