Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
Maungawera Lodge offers the perfect balance between Wanaka B&B accommodation and rural lodge accommodation. Our lodge offers everything from ensuite rooms to a family suite with ample space to relax, be that in the shared lounge area or in our spacious bedrooms. All our rooms have been recently redecorated and are modern and bright.
The lodge is divided into two wings – the East Wing and West Wing.
All prices are for 1-2 people. For rooms that accommodate an extra roller bed, an extra person charge of $30/night is applicable.
West Wing
The West Wing contains three bedrooms – The Red Stag suite, the biggest room in this wing, with its own ensuite and the Trout and Fallow Suites, that share a bathroom. If you are looking for a family suite, we recommend booking the Trout and Fallow Suite. All rooms have private access to the garden and stunning views.
Red Stag Suite
An extremely spacious room, the Red Stag Suite has access to a private terrace, an ensuite bathroom with shower and a super king bed. There is also space for an additional roll out bed if required and the super king can be split into two singles.

Trout Suite
The Trout Suite has a queen bed, private access to the garden and pool and access to a bathroom, with bath and shower, shared with the Fallow Suite. This room can be combined with the Fallow Suite to create a great family space.

Fallow Suite
The Fallow Suite has a super king or two king single beds, private access to the garden and pool and access to a bathroom, with bath and shower, shared with the Trout Suite. This room can be combined with the Trout Suite to create a great family space.

East Wing
The East Wing has four bedrooms. Three of the rooms have ensuite facilities with the Mountain Suite being our largest and premium suite. All three double rooms have stunning views and private access to the garden. The Guide Suite twin room is best booked in conjunction with the Feather Suite and creates a perfect solution for families.
Mountain Suite
Our premium room, the Mountain Suite has amazing views of the Southern Alps and a private terrace with access to the gardens and pool area. It’s our most spacious room – there’s even space for an early morning yoga session if you desire! There is a large ensuite bathroom with a shower and spa bath, a large dressing room, that can be used as a make-up room for events. The super king bed can be split into two singles if required and an extra roll out bed is available.

Wapiti Suite
