Maungawera Lodge is a famil run operation.

The Stewart / Burke family has been involved in running premium accommodation for discerning international clients for over 20 years.

We own lodges in Wanaka, Leithen Valley north east of Gore, and in the Northern Territoties of Australia.

A stay at Maungawera Lodge is a unique oppertunity to experience the Wanaka area, without the hustle and bustle (ie residential sub-divisions) found closer to town.

Alan and Sue Stewart are a 2nd generation farming family. Daughter Rachel and her husband Olly Burke along with their children Sam and Zac continue the family tradition of hard work and high standards that setsMaungawera Lodge apart from other lodges in the area.
